How Climate Change Impact on Air Travel

Introduction to Climate Change Impact on Air Travel. In this regard, Manoj Joshi , [1] Professor of the Department of Meteorology at the  University of East Anglia [1] in the European country of Britain, said that "C.A.T (Clear Air Turbulance) occurs at certain altitudes or in certain areas. Since it cannot be predicted in advance, sometimes the impact is more on the passenger". Therefore, wearing a 'seat belt' Experts say that climate change could also be a reason for the sudden shaking of planes in mid-air.  In recent times, there have been more incidents of sudden shaking of planes in mid-air.  Last month, a Singapore Airlines flight from London, UK to Singapore shook mid-air like this.  In this, one passenger died;  Also, more than 70 people were injured. Such incidents are happening more recently.  The main reason for this is  'Clear Air Turbulence'   [2] known as C.A.D, or 'Clear Air Turbulence'.  This means that the flight...

Health Of Older Adults With Pre-Diabetes,

Negative effects of two weeks of rest

Studies have shown that just two weeks of inactivity can have a major negative impact on the health of older adults with pre-diabetes, and recovery is difficult.

Researchers found that reducing activity for just two weeks in people with pre-diabetes not only accelerated the onset of the disease, but also turned pre-diabetes into full-blown diabetes in many of them.  Also, some participants did not fully recover after two weeks of returning to normal activity, the researchers said.

People with pre-diabetes may be on complete bed rest for about two weeks if something goes wrong, such as corona or an accident.  Then the number of daily walks they take will drop below 1000 steps.  The study looked at what effect this would have on their prediabetes levels

Study participants were asked to reduce their daily walks to less than 1,000, which equates to being unable to leave the house due to illness.  Participants' walks and activities were measured using pedometers and special activity monitoring equipment, while researchers checked blood sugar levels and took blood samples over a two-week period.

Within days of bed rest, everyone's muscle mass and bone strength began to decline.  Blood sugar levels rise and many become insulin resistant.  Insulin resistance is a condition in which the body's cells cannot handle insulin properly.  When there is insulin resistance, the cells cannot handle enough glucose, which leads to high blood sugar levels. For many people, pre-diabetes turns into full-blown diabetes within two weeks.

After two weeks of bed rest, many people did not return to their old health despite vigorous physical exercises for the next two weeks.

The results of this study indicate that older adults who experience periods of physical inactivity due to ill health, hospital admissions, and bed rest are more likely to experience adverse effects on their overall health.

If someone is unable to walk for long periods of time, they must work hard to regain the ability to handle blood sugar.  Not many do, say the scientists who conducted the study.

The study describes that just two weeks of rest can transform elderly people from a pre-diabetic state to a dangerous state of diabetes, and two weeks of vigorous exercise will not return.  The results of this study have been published online in The Journals of Gerontology.Realizefact
